Teen Vogue

Reporting on youth climate solutions across the u.S. South

The challenge: The climate crisis isn't a distant threat. It's already reshaping life across the U.S. South. Young people are adapting in real time, imagining and building more livable futures even as the ground shifts beneath them. But those stories weren't making it into national coverage.

The work: I pioneered a first-of-its-kind editorial partnership between Teen Vogue and the Solutions Journalism Network, then traveled through Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas, listening to organizers, policymakers, and community members before translating those conversations into deeply reported stories.

The result: A landmark editorial series that brought solutions journalism to one of the most influential youth media platforms in the country, tracing how young Southerners are reimagining and rebuilding their communities in the face of the climate crisis.
